World Corona Update: 48.9 Million Infections

KOMPAS.com – Transmission of infection corona virus still widespread in various countries. New case confirmed positive Covid-19 continues to be reported.

Quoting data Worldometers, Friday (6/11/2020) at 05.30 WIB, corona virus has infected as many as 48,968,768 people worldwide.

Of these, 34,937,684 people have been declared to have recovered from this SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.

Meanwhile, this new type of corona virus has killed 1,238,323 people globally.

Here are five countries that report the most cases of infection:

1. United States

The United States is the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.

Positive confirmed cases of the corona virus in this country reached 9,901,453 cases, with 100,135 new cases daily.

The highest number of deaths globally also occurred in the US. A total of 240,815 people reportedly died from exposure Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the country with a population of 331,266,944 people recorded 6,332,630 positive cases of Covid-19 who have recovered.

2. India

Following in second place, positive cases of Covid-19 in India continued to creep up, there were 47,622 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Currently, India records that the virus has infected 8,411,034 people, with 7,764,763 people having been declared cured.
