The highest number of deaths globally also occurred in the US, where 234,079 people were reported to have died from exposure to the virus.
Meanwhile, the country with a population of 331,266,944 people recorded 5,968,397 positive cases of Covid-19 who have recovered.
2. India
Following in second place, positive cases of Covid-19 in India continued to creep up, there were 49,281 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Currently, the country with a population of 1,381,826,521 people has recorded a total of 8,088,046 cases of Covid-19 infection.
So far, India has recorded 121,131 deaths.
Of the total cases of infection, 7,371,898 people have been declared cured.

3. Brazil
Brazil is in the third position of the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.
There were 5,494,376 confirmed cases of Covid-19, of which 4,934,548 have recovered.
This country with a population of 212,764,278 people has reported 158,969 deaths due to corona virus infection.
4. Russia
In fourth place, Russia reported 1,581,693 positive cases of the corona virus, with the addition of 17,717 new cases.
Of the total cases confirmed positive for the virus, 1,186,041 people have been declared cured.
Meanwhile, the country with a population of 145,943,139 people reported that 27,301 people died from being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
5. France
Cases of corona virus infection in France also continue to rise. The country with the fifth most cases worldwide reported 1,282,769 positive cases of Covid-19 infection in its region.
Over the past 24 hours, France recorded 47,637 new cases. This Covid-19 infection has killed 36,020 people in the country.

Global daily new case records
Global coronavirus cases increased by more than 500,000 new cases daily on Thursday (29/10/2020).
