The Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, an institution of the World Bank Group, held two workshops to introduce private sector companies based in the UAE to business opportunities in countries with emerging economies, at the headquarters of the Dubai Chambers and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. With the participation of a number of officials in government agencies, businessmen and representatives of the private sector in the country.
The Ministry of Finance reported in a statement yesterday that the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency reviewed a large and integrated set of financial solutions that it provides, including insurance solutions and guarantees necessary to enhance credit for businessmen and lenders, to facilitate business establishment and expansion in emerging economies.
The agency introduced participants to its products and services, and addressed concerns related to reliability and investment products, optimal capital obtained from financial institutions, and financing at the lowest possible cost.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Younis Haji Al-Khoury, praised what the “International Agency” is doing in terms of disseminating information related to business establishment opportunities in countries with emerging economies.
He also praised its efforts to support small projects and promote comprehensive and sustainable economic development.
