A 53-year-old man from the Hermagor district was busy splitting wood on Saturday afternoon in a storage area in the Kirchbach community. The man put his left hand into the log splitter and separated parts from two fingers. After the first aid, the injured person was brought to the BKH Lienz by the Christophorus 7 rescue helicopter.
