On Saturday, November 28, another took place protests Women’s Strike. Peaceful demonstrations were organized on the 102nd anniversary of gaining voting rights by women. The demonstrations were blocked by the police, which were very numerous on the streets of the capital. Police officers IDed participants in protests, blocked people who wanted to leave, even tear gas was used. One of the victims was MP Barbara Nowacka, which suffered despite showing the policeman her MP ID.

Jerzy Owsiak intervened in the protests in the case of two young girls
At the beginning, Jurek Owsiak marked his entry as “very emotional”. He started with a description of the situation when he noticed how the police decided to list two young girls, “still teenagers, not much older than Owsiak’s granddaughter,” says the president of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The girls had no symbols, signs, tables, only a box of cookies and asked why they were written down. They were detained along with a group of protesters. Owsiak introduced himself to the officers and asked about the reason for writing down the girls, but he was answered by silence the policeaccording to his account.
Are you not ashamed? They are not much older than my granddaughter. Do they look strong? Do they look like the vanguard of this strike? Do they seem to be the most energetic in this protest? Are you not ashamed, here at this moment, now, still enforce a fine of PLN 100 from each of them?
Jerzy Owsiak asked the silent policemen.
The case of young girls was dealt with by “4 broad-shouldered, huge, equipped with an incredible amount of equipment, 4 strong”, which Owsiak described as a shocking and memorable event that you can be ashamed of. Owsiak declared that he could be a witness in this case, and when he was leaving he told the policemen:

The behavior of police officers was the axis of the entire entry. Owsiak also assessed the protests themselves, recalling the words of Gandhi, who was to say that telling you not to deal with policy, it’s like you’re drowning in water and not talking about it.
That explains it all. Also I, Jurek Owsiak, am a citizen of this country and I am hurt by many, many things, the most obvious being that the rulers want to throw us out of the European Union in an incredibly obvious way. No, no, no – three times I disagree with it and will fight it till the end.
