Who is the coach of Switzerland?

Nils Nielsen. The Greenland-born coach made his name at Women’s EURO 2017 when he reached the final with Denmark. He has been in charge of the women’s national team since 2018.

Who is the captain of Switzerland?

Lia Wälti. The Arsenal midfielder has gained a lot of experience in England. She was at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 and the Women’s European Championship 2017 and took over the captain’s armband from Lara Dickenmann. At the finals she is expected to play her 100th international match for Switzerland.

The 2-1 win over Iceland on Matchday 2 of the 2017 group stage is Switzerland’s only win so far in a major finals. I look forward to hopefully experiencing more success stories this summer!
