Women’s Asian Cup 2022, Vietnam’s playing rights are threatened with being revoked

KOMPAS.com – The right to contest Vietnam from 2022 Women’s Asian Cup threatened to be revoked because their squad was in trouble.

According to information from the Vietnam Football Association (VFF), on January 15, 2022, several members of the Vietnam women’s national team had left for India from Spain.

However, on the trip, there were only 10 squad members transported, six of whom were players.

In fact, the total squad for the Vietnam women’s national team is 33. The rest can’t fly to the host country for the 2022 Women’s Asian Cup because they don’t meet the health requirements to board the plane.

The first batch of the Vietnam women’s national team landed in India on January 16 local time and immediately underwent medical tests.
