Women in IS – how did the dream of “family-friendly jihad” go?

Thousands of Western women were seduced by IS. They went to Syria. Now researchers have talked to the women about how things actually went with them.

Women had an important role in the terrorist group that was notorious for beheadings, sex slaves and terrorist attacks: They were to give birth to the next generation of IS fighters.
