Maria Margaritova’s family from Smolyan has 4 members. He and his wife Kostadin work in a state structure and receive a total of about BGN 1,600 a month.

Their two children are a 10th grade student and a student in Sofia who lives in a dormitory. They live in a hereditary house in Smolyan and do not pay rent. They are heated on wood that was bought before the price increase.

“We will most likely deprive ourselves of summer vacations and entertainment, we will also delete the expenses for culture. We have already started not to buy clothes, only the most necessary ones “, says Maria.

For now, the family does not deprive the two children of traditional sums, but if prices continue to rise, it will be forced. At the moment, they are resisting food prices and are not deprived of food.

“I used to buy food for a few days with BGN 50 earlier. You can’t buy anything with them now. It is as if it is no longer money, but noise “, says the Rhodope woman.

“Salaries are the same, costs are rising, to be a financial magician, there is no way to live without deprivation. Every month it is necessary to rearrange the budget “, adds Maria. He recognizes that they are still young and do not constantly need medication.
