Woman Gives Birth on A12 Highway: Mother and Child Doing Well

A woman gave birth to a baby on the A12 near Harmelen at the beginning of the evening. According to Rijkswaterstaat and the police, mother and child are doing well.

Two lanes were closed for some time due to the delivery. Two ambulances and an air ambulance were called. Eventually mother and child were taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Employee Margot from a nearby gas station saw it all happen. “Very special. It was already a beautiful day and now it has become even more beautiful,” she says RTV Utrecht. According to her, the baby was born in a white bus.
