This is confirmed by the Southeast Police District on Friday night. The deceased is a woman in her 40s.
The motorcyclist was driving in a company with several others when the accident happened at 9 pm on Thursday.
The accident happened while the motorcyclist was trying to drive past another vehicle. The speed limit on site is 70 kilometers per hour.
The woman was flown to hospital with critical injuries, but died from the injuries she sustained.
The police and the accident group from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration have investigated the place. The road is open to traffic on Friday morning after being closed for several hours.
