The 40-year-old woman was just waiting for the subway at Times Square station when she was suddenly pushed onto the rails by a complete stranger. It turned out to be a confused homeless man of 61 years old. He walked away and got on another subway, then turned himself in to officers at a next station.

It is striking that the incident still happened 24 hours after the exact same thing happened in Brussels. The victim survived there, because the metro was able to brake just in time.
