Serious traffic accident in Michaelerberg-Pruggern near Liezen. On Thursday, a 79-year-old drove down a mountain road towards Ennstal Strasse B320. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, the driver came off the road in a right-hand bend around 10.20 a.m. and fell about 200 meters over steep terrain.

She was injured so badly that she died at the scene of the accident. Since the son could not reach his mother, he went looking for her in the afternoon. At around 4.30 p.m. the man discovered the accident and his fatally injured mother.
Rescue workers recovered the body of the 79-year-old, then the car was recovered using the winch of a tractor. The volunteer fire brigade in Pruggern was used for several hours during the complicated wreck recovery.
