Woman (25) who was taken unconscious from a burning house, a … (Interior)

A 25-year-old woman from Ghent who was taken from a burning house in Sint-Amandsberg on Thursday morning and was taken into mortal danger, eventually succumbed to her injuries in the hospital and died. That confirms the parquet Friday. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Sint-Amandsberg was startled early on Thursday morning by a violent house fire. A row house in the Kunstenaarsstraat burned down and a mother and two of her children could only barely bring themselves to safety.

A third child who was present in the home when the fire broke out at around 7 a.m. did not survive the house fire. The 25-year-old woman was found unconscious in the home by the fire brigade and resuscitated on the street for a long time.

But she eventually succumbed to hospital injuries from the fire on Thursday evening. This is confirmed by the East Flanders prosecutor’s office, Ghent department. It is not yet clear what caused the fire.

A fire expert from the court examined the house on Thursday, but no information is known about it. It is certainly an accident, says the public prosecutor’s office. “There are no indications of malicious intent. It is an accidental fire. ”
