Wolves join Prem duo in race for Stoke’s giant compared to Maguire – EzAnime.net

The Wolves have reportedly joined West Ham and Crystal Palace in the race to sign Stoke City defender Harry Souttar in the summer transfer window.

Souttar, 22, has impressed at the heart of the Potters’ defense. The Australia international has started 32 of Stoke’s 38 championship games this term. And, according to the Express, high-end clubs have taken notice. The report suggests that the Premier League trio have been looking for the talented stopper of late.

He has a contract at Bet365 Stadium until the summer of 2022. But he may be pushed away from the Potteries because of the appeal of Premier League football.

Souttar, the brother of Hearts defender John Souttar, began his professional career with Dundee United. He made only three appearances for The Terrors before signing for Stoke in September 2016.

But it took until this season for the 6-foot-6 in the center half to see any real action for the club. He was loaned to Ross County while joining Fleetwood Town for the second half of the 2018-2019 season.

He returned with The Cod Army for 2019-20 and enjoyed 36 League One outings before returning to Stoke last summer. Michael O’Neill gave him the opportunity to show what he can do and he has assimilated it with both hands.

The talented defender has been compared to the Manchester United center-back Harry Maguire. Comfortable on the ball and with decent passing ability, he could soon take the next step in his career.

Souttar a summer offer

It remains to be seen if the English trio reaffirms their interest in the young man. But if they do, it seems that no interested suitor will have to pay a king’s ransom.

The Daily Mail suggests that an offer of just £ 2 million could be enough to close a deal. However, the Express believes it will take a “significant” offer for Stoke to let it go.

The Souttar brothers actually play for different national teams. Harry has scored four goals in two games for Australia, while John has three games for Scotland in your name.

Stoke is 11th in the second-tier standings and has little chance of making the play-offs. So another season in the Championship awaits Souttar unless something happens this summer.

With three senior clubs linked, there are likely to be deals. It looks like it will have options, but Stoke is under no obligation to sell.

However, with his contract expiring next year, it may be time to cash in on the colossus.
