Representatives of the Progressive party, who have won half of the 18 seats won by the AP / P, could be the most elected members of the Riga City Council from the combined list of “Development / For” and “Progressive” (AP / P).

According to the information currently available on the website of the Central Election Commission (CEC), seven political forces may have entered the Riga City Council and the potential winners of the elections – the joint list of the HR / VP – have reached the mandates of 18 deputies.

According to the initial results, nine people were provisionally elected from the party “Progressive” in the Riga City Council – Mārtiņš Kossovičs, Edmunds Cepurītis, Antonina Nenaševa, Agnese Logina, Viesturs Kleinbergs, Miroslavs Kodis, Mairita Lūse, Rūta Mežavilka and Justīne Panteļine.

The party for the development of Latvia, which is part of the party alliance, could have tentatively won four seats. Anete Jēkabsone-Žogota, Māris Mičerevskis, Iveta Ratinīka and Viesturs Zeps may have been elected from this party.

In turn, three people have probably been elected from the party “Movement For” – Mārtiņš Staķis, Ivars Drulle and Laima Geikina.

From the joint list of the AP / P, the Riga City Council may have elected two non-partisan activists from the Riga neighborhood – Alija Turlaja, a representative of the Sarkandaugava Development Association, and Selīna Vancāne, a representative of the Teika Neighborhood Association.

The party association “Attīstība / Par!” Has won the extraordinary elections of the Riga City Council in Purvciems. and “Progressive” (AP / P), with 23.45% of voters’ support, according to the Central Election Commission.

In second place in Purvciems is the party “Senge” with the support of 20.28% of voters, but in the third place is the party association “Jaunā Vienotība”, for which 13.32% voted.

In the fourth place is the national association “Everything for Latvia!” – “For Fatherland and Freedom” / LNNK together with the Association of Latvian Regions, which has received the support of 9.71% of voters.

In fifth place in Purvciems is the party “Honor to serve Riga” with the support of 8.89% of voters, in the sixth place is the party “Latvian Russian Union” with 7.63% support.

The last of the parties that overcame the five percent barrier in Purvciems is the New Conservative Party, which was voted for by 6.16% of voters.

In total, 41% of eligible voters voted in 14 Purvciems polling stations.
