Withdrawing from the Czech MotoGP, Marc Marquez Victim Carelessness Doctor Page all

KOMPAS.com – Rider Repsol Honda, Marc Marquez, is called to bear the doctor’s carelessness after deciding to resign from MotoGP Czech.

Czech MotoGP is the third series of the World Championship this season which will take place at the Brno Circuit on Sunday (9/8/2020).

Marquez decided to withdraw from the Czech MotoGP shortly after undergoing a second right arm operation, Monday (3/8/2020) or Tuesday WIB.

Previously, Marquez underwent the first operation on Tuesday (7/21/2029) or two days after experiencing an accident in the Spanish MotoGP.

In the Spanish MotoGP, Marc Marquez had a highside accident which made him fail to finish and suffered a fractured right arm fracture.

The injury caused Marquez’s arm to be fitted with a titanium plate to strengthen his fractured bone.

Marc Marquez then made a surprise decision four days after his first operation.

The Spaniard dared to go down on the second day of the Andalusian MotoGP series on Saturday (7/25/2020).

Marquez then had two free practice sessions (FP3 and FP4) until the first qualification (Q1) of the Andalusian MotoGP.

Marquez’s heroic story finally ends in sadness.

Marquez could not complete a round of Q1 and decided to withdraw from the Andalusian MotoGP because he still felt pain in his arm.

Marquez had previously committed to take the Czech MotoGP. The dream ultimately failed to materialize because Marquez had to return to the operating table.

According to the doctor who handled Marquez, Xavier Mir, the second operation had to be done because the titanium plate on the rider’s arm was broken.

The fate of Marquez’s accident was later responded to by Professor Alex Castagna.

Alex Castagna is the head of the shoulder and elbow orthopedic surgery unit in one of the hospitals in Milan that once handled Valentino Rossi and Lucas Marini.

Alex Castagna believes that what Marquez is experiencing at the moment is the result of the carelessness of doctors.

Specifically, Alex Castagna questioned the doctor who gave Marquez permission to return to the track four days after surgery.

“I can understand Marquez’s wishes. What I cannot understand is how the team of doctors and Dorna Sports allowed Marquez to appear in the Andalusian MotoGP,” Castagna was quoted as saying on the Tuttomotoriweb website, Wednesday (05/08/2020).

“It was a fatal mistake. Marquez resigned because he was still feeling pain. The decision was very risky for the safety of Marquez and other riders,” Castagna said.

“Furthermore, from a medical perspective, allowing Marquez to return is a non-educational decision,” Castagna added.

Furthermore, Castagna rate Marc Marquez should need recovery time of four to six weeks to really recover from injury.

Castagna said Marc Marquez must now bear the Doctor’s carelessness because the recovery period will return from the beginning.

“Injured athletes must have patience to recover. Marquez should rest for up to six weeks. Time is very important to make athletes recover from injuries,” Castagna said.

“I heard that the titanium plate on Marquez’s arm broke. Of course that can happen because a racer needs his arm, especially when braking,” Castagna said.

“Now Marquez has to start again from the beginning of his recovery. After the second operation, I predict Marquez will need more time to recover,” Castagna added.

Failing to get points from the first three series makes Marquez certainly not move from the bottom of the rider’s standings until the end of the Czech MotoGP.

Marquez as the defending champion temporarily lags behind 50 points from Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) who leads the standings.

The difference can widen to 75 points because Quartararo is the strongest candidate to become the Czech MotoGP champion.

Different from the Andalusian MotoGP, Repsol Honda this time appointed Stefan Bradl to replace Marc Marquez in the Czech MotoGP.
