With weapons and shouting: this is how this couple reacted to a protest that was passing in front of their house | Univision News United States

A white couple pointed weapons protesters marching in St. Louis, Missouri, to demand the resignation of the mayor after she publicly read the names and addresses of people supporting a reform in the Police Department.

Video of the protest that went viral on social media shows the man pointing a rifle and the woman pointing what appears to be a pistol at the crowd that happened next to his house in the exclusive Central West End neighborhood in Missouri city.

In addition to threatening them with weapons, the video shows the couple yelling at the black and white protesters who were circulating with posters and slogans of Black Lives Matters. The group was about 500 people, the agency reported. AP, and they went to the house of Mayor Lyda Krewson asking for her resignation.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said, quoted by USA Today, who responded to a call by a 63-year-old man and 61-year-old woman around 5:30 pm Sunday asking for a serious commotion on the street to be investigated and that they had been insulted. Krewson was elected as the first female mayor of Saint Louis in April 2017 and pledged to work to reduce crime and improve impoverished neighborhoods.
