With these tips, you do not constantly touch your face

Especially in the current situation, we should be careful not to hold our hands constantly in the face. Since this is often more difficult than you might think, we will give you five tips to finally banish your fingers from your face.

It sounds so easy not to touch your face. But we all know that this is easier said than done. We always have our fingers on our faces, even though we actually know very well that our skin only reacts to it with more pimples and impurities. The challenge of keeping your fingers off your face has always been big – Especially at the moment, however, we should pay more attention than ever, because now it’s not just about aesthetic reasons, but about protecting our health. Washing your hands regularly and not touching them with your face is one of the most important hygiene measures that should be followed in times of the coronavirus. Since we know that, but it is still difficult for us to actually keep it, we have five great tips for you that you can finally use to not fumble around in the face.

1. Lotion hands

If we have just freshly applied our hands, we take extra care not to touch anything. The cream is supposed to soak in and we don’t want to leave any grease stains anywhere. We can also use this trick so that we don’t have our fingers on our faces because we pay more attention to what we do with our hands. Of course, we cannot apply our hands around the clock. But it is a good help to be careful not to touch your face for a few minutes. And our skin will also be happy about the new care routine. Incidentally, freshly painted fingernails also have the same effect. So just like to renew your nail polish more often.

2. Take preventive measures

With a few small, general tricks, we can easily protect ourselves from facing each other. If you wear contact lenses, for example, it is best to replace them with glasses for a while. Because contact lens wearers in particular tend to rub their eyes. It is also helpful to make a braid in the morning and fix loose hair or strands with hair clips. This way you don’t have to constantly brush your hair off your face and there is no other reason to touch your face.

3. Distract hands

Often we just fumble with our fingers out of boredom on the face. Having our hands busy can help prevent unconscious movements. Just grab a little ball or something that you can knead well. Because if you are doing something specific with your hands, such as kneading a ball, you would have to deliberately interrupt it in order to put a hand on your face – and before you do that, you remember that you wanted to let it go.

4. Find your own triggers

The best thing to do is try to find out why you touch your face most often – observe over a period of time why your fingers always end up there. If your skin is itchy, for example, you can make sure that you apply it more often – so there is no reason why your hands are where we wanted to prevent it. In addition to the general tricks to prevent this, a little self-analysis at this point can really be worthwhile to prevent the eternal grip on the face.

It may sound stupid – but it is actually effective: if you paint your nails in bright colors, you won’t touch your face as much. Where you would otherwise subconsciously scratch your nose, colorful varnish on your nails helps to avoid just that. Thanks to the striking colors, we perceive our fingers in the corner of our eyes when we are about to touch our faces. So we can stop the movement quickly and have prevented another risk. The same works with large rings.
