With native music they dismiss the “tataque”; artist who was killed – Police

“Bye daddy, justice will be done. Jallalla ‘tataque’ ”, expressed family and friends who said goodbye this Wednesday, with native music, to the renowned musician Eduardo Castro Chávez in the La Paz garden cemetery.

A small group of people entered the holy field to accompany the “tataque” until its last resting place, due to the restrictions of the pandemic. Others fired him at a distance, but all mourned his death and promised that they will not rest until justice is done; in his memory they performed native music to the rhythm of the sicus.

The renowned interpreter was attacked by a young man, 21, who caused him fatal cutting injuries early Monday morning, when he was going to queue for a COVID-19 test, on Sagarnaga Street in La Paz.

The accused was sent, with preventive detention, to the Chonchocoro prison in La Paz. Investigators presented surveillance camera recordings to demonstrate the likelihood of authorship of the accused.

Castro was a wind instrument musician and member of the Qhana group. His family thanked the people for their affection and their company in the duel. The case is under investigation.
