More than 211 medical teams in six hospitals in the Atlantic and its capital Barranquilla, will be delivered this Thursday by the Atlantic sectional Red Cross, with the aim of cooperating and supporting the strengthening of the capacities of the hospital network in the country and continuing to face the pandemic caused by covid-19.
In the department of Atlántico, 31 hospital beds will be delivered, distributed as follows: 12 beds in the Departmental Hospital of Sabanalarga, 8 beds at the University Hospital SEARCH from Barranquilla, 8 beds in Maternal and child Hospital Metropolitan Citadel of Soledad and 3 beds in the Campo de la Cruz Hospital.
The Colombian Red Cross, the United States government and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent donate medical equipment to 199 hospitals in the country. This articulation is made together with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to attend the health emergency caused by the covid-19.
