The Ministry of Health reported 99 new deaths from coronavirus this Sunday, for which there are 6,947 people killed for this reason in the country, with a fatality rate of 2% and a mortality rate of 151 per million inhabitants.
During the morning report, it was specified that there are 1,907 interned in Intensive Care Units, of which 761% are in the city of Buenos Aires.
The occupancy percentage of these beds is 58% nationwide and 67.1% in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (Amba).
The total number of confirmed cases in Argentina is 336,802 (49.1% women and 50.9% men).
The Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, pointed out that the number of “new cases is less than 80% in Amba, the provinces continue to present cases and new outbreaks.”
The total of people recovered is 251,400, so there are 78,455 who are suffering from the disease.
Regarding PCR studies, yesterday 18,837 new samples were taken and since the beginning of the outbreak 1,092,556 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to 24,077.4 samples per million inhabitants.
