A dog in North Carolina in United States could be the first in the country to test positive for the coronavirus. “Winston,” a pug, was tested because its owners decided to be part of a Duke University study. Tests for Heather McClain, her husband, and one of her children tested positive for covid-19. Weeks ago, Winston had symptoms like a cough, but its owners did not know it was due to covid-19. “I definitely think we spread the virus to her,” her owner, Heather McClain, told CNN.
