Doubt
Robbe said it was very important to him to come out in class because he could finally be himself. “We doubted for a long time whether we should make the item,” Baijens now admits. “I also wondered if I would have wanted to do my own coming out on the radio. But his parents said: ‘Yes, Robbe would very much like to tell this, also on the radio.’ ”
Still, the journalist was sweating his hands during the conversation. “You have with the WE regular conversations with famous people about big news. But in the end I am actually less impressed by that than by this small, vulnerable moment. ”
