Finished on January 14th Microsoft support for Windows 7. On the same day, the last update for the system, KB4534310, was released for private users. Support has only been available for companies against payment since this date.

But now Microsoft is still planning an update for the operating system released in 2009. The reason is an error caused by the last update. The desktop background disappeared for some users. More on this read here

Microsoft admits the error

On its website, Microsoft lists the bug as a known issue in the January 14 update. According to Microsoft, the error occurs when users have selected the “stretched” mode for the background image.

The company says it is working on a solution to the problem and promises an update. That should go to “all customers who Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 “have to be played out. If you can’t wait that long, Microsoft advises you to change the background settings or use a different background.
