Atalanta regained victory in the 31st giornata Italian League. Entertain Sampdoria, La Dea won 2-0.
At Gewiss Stadium on Thursday (07/09/2020) early morning WIB, Atalanta appeared to dominate possession of the ball which reached 63.6 percent. Even so, they had difficulty scoring in the first half.
Rafael Toloi’s chances in the 19th minute can be driven by goalkeeper Sampdoria, Emil Audero. Likewise with Duvan Zapata’s shot 10 minutes later.
Zapata again got a chance in the 38th minute, but again thwarted Audero. Hans Hateboer’s experiment in the 42nd minute had the same fate.
Sampdoria had a good chance in the first half through Manolo Gabbiadini, but his strike in the 30th minute bounced in the hands of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. The first round is complete without a goal.

In the second half, Atalanta continued to press. As a result, they broke the deadlock in the 75th minute. Toloi’s header that utilizes corner kicks Ruslan Malinovskiy led them 1-0.
Ten minutes later, Atalanta increased the advantage. Luis Muriel fired a long-range shot that successfully made Audero stride and could not save his goal from being broken. The 2-0 score lasted until it was over.

These results make Atalanta have won 9 in a row in Serie A. They also moved up to third in the standings with 66 points, shifting Inter Milan. But the Nerazzurri will only play Hellas Verona tomorrow.
As for Sampdoria, this result makes them not move from 16th position with 32 points.
