This Friday, the Regional Directorate for Tourism paid tribute to William and Pamela Fletcher, for their 48th visit to Madeira.
The British couple, aged 79 and 80, respectively, chose Madeira for their first vacation in 1972, always staying at the Aparthotel Imperatriz and Hotel Royal Savoy hotels. They consider Madeira to be the “second home and a safe island”, and have organized several group trips, with about 20 people, and for 2021, they expect to return with new elements.
For Dorita Mendonça, Regional Director of Tourism, these moments “of recognition and loyalty of these official ambassadors, are very important to value this relationship and also to motivate the continuity of the visit.”
It should also be noted that it was the Pearl of the Atlantic Madeira Travel Agency, which sought out the Regional Directorate of Tourism for this purpose, with emphasis on the importance of proximity between visitors and travel agents, who are also direct promoters of the destination.
