Therapy: study with several Alzheimer’s patients

In order to support this assumption, the doctors examined the brains of several people with Alzheimer’s disease at regular intervals. Nicolai Franzmeier from the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research explains “that the protein deposits spread to a large extent along cross-linked brain regions during the course of the disease.” He describes that in a press release.

Better therapy for people with Alzheimer’s

The research team now believes that they can make more specific predictions about the spread of the disease. This in turn could be the starting signal to better predict the very different disease courses from patient to patient. In the future, this will also help to stop the disease more quickly with medication.
