There is an expectation that in 2021, the League 1 be decentralized again and that each team can play at home in their respective city. Likewise, they want to see the possibility that the fans can return to the stadiums.
According to the sports manager of Melgar, Edgar Villamarín, talks have already been made for what will be the local event this year, taking as premises that the ebalón can roll in different areas of the country.
“As far as I understand, the tournament will be decentralized again, but it doesn’t just depend on what the FPF says, but how the pandemic is going to play out in the coming days.”, the today red-black leader said to radio Ovación.
“We are making all the arrangements to have the stadiums at our disposal and the moment it has the go-ahead, we have to present it. We are going to be local”added Edgar Villamarín.
Regarding the return of the fans to the stadiums, the manager expressed his optimism that this also happens in the League 1. “Based on the capacity, we are trying to get 30 or 40%. We know that cinemas and theaters can already have an audience”he pointed.
