The co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, is in talks with Jay Z for a possible purchase of Tidal, music streaming service owned by various artists headed by the rapper.
The contacts between Dorsey and Jay Z have been carried out in private, without revealing.
The co-founder of Twitter and also the creator and CEO of the electronic payments firm are believed in media close to Square, which plans for the latter to become the center of a conglomerate of companies, which could include Tidal.
Jay Z bought Tidal in 2015 from the Swedish company Spiro for just over $ 56 million. Spiro had launched the platform in 2014.
