Teachers who will teach on television, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be accompanied and advised by television conductors, reported the Secretary of Public Education, Esteban Moctezuma.

“The programs are going to be recorded by male and female teachers, we are making the scripts with male and female teachers, more obviously, people who know television,” the official said in an interview with Adela Micha for the program In EF And By Adela.

“The teachers will be helped by television conductors to be able to take the classes, they will be live, the duet is that, the conductor with the teacher,” he detailed in the program of The Financier Bloomberg TV.

He indicated that the teachers who will teach the television classes were selected for having the best performance with the students.

“An investigation was made of which were the teachers who had the best results with male and female students, they were invited, many said yes, others said they did not want to leave their home, but we chose the best and the best to do this task, “he added.

He reported that these classes have already begun to be recorded and that the delivery of the first week has already begun.

“This has already started to be recorded, it is a titanic task, they are 5 thousand 500 hours of air televisionImagine how much recording will be, “he said.

“We already started delivering the first week of television because it was calculated that we had to deliver two weeks before that class went on the air, the first week has already begun to be delivered and so I hope that we will normally have a cycle of programs that take us until the December holidays, which are December 18, “he added.

He explained that in the case of states that restart face-to-face classes, they can be guided by free textbooks to know in which lesson they stayed with television classes.

“The (TV) programs are going to go hand in hand with the expected learning, which is what a teacher imparts in each class and corresponds to the free textbook, the moment you interrupt distance education, you join in person in what you were going and moving forward, “he added.

At the beginning of August, the Government of Mexico and television stations signed an agreement for the transmission of educational content for the 2020-2021 school year.

The companies that are part of the agreement are Televisa, TV Azteca, Milenio and Imagen.

The distance education system for the 2020-2021 school year, which begins on August 24, will cost 15 pesos for each student, which will generate a total of 450 million pesos, since there are 30 million students. who will use the service, according to data from the SEP.
