Teachers who will teach on television, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be accompanied and advised by television conductors, reported the Secretary of Public Education, Esteban Moctezuma.

“The teachers will be helped by television conductors to be able to take the classes, they will be live, the duet is that, the conductor with the teacher,” he detailed in the program of The Financier Bloomberg TV.

He indicated that the teachers who will teach the television classes were selected for having the best performance with the students.

“An investigation was made of which were the teachers who had the best results with male and female students, they were invited, many said yes, others said they did not want to leave their home, but we chose the best and the best to do this task, “he added.

He reported that these classes have already begun to be recorded and that the delivery of the first week has already begun.

He explained that in the case of states that restart face-to-face classes, they can be guided by free textbooks to know in which lesson they stayed with television classes.

At the beginning of August, the Government of Mexico and television stations signed an agreement for the transmission of educational content for the 2020-2021 school year.

The companies that are part of the agreement are Televisa, TV Azteca, Milenio and Imagen.

The distance education system for the 2020-2021 school year, which begins on August 24, will cost 15 pesos for each student, which will generate a total of 450 million pesos, since there are 30 million students. who will use the service, according to data from the SEP.
