Wilder blames the weight of clothing for defeat; announces third fight with Fury

Former heavyweight world champion, Deontay Wilder, announced that he will make the rematch clause against Tyson Fury valid for next July, and accused that the weight of the clothing he wore while heading for the ring was the cause for him to run out legs in combat and will end up knocking out in seven rounds.

Wilder fell twice in the tiebreaker contest before finishing knocked out in the seventh episode when the referee stopped the beating after Mark Breland, part of his team, threw the towel, which is why the assistant could be out of the team, according to Wilder himself.

The American, who was tied for fourth place for more heavyweight defenses with Muhammad Ali with a total of 10, said he will make the rematch clause valid, tentatively by mid-year, so that if this is satisfied, then there will be no unification of Fury with Anthony Joshua in the middle of the year.

“He (Fury) never hurt me, but it happened that the uniform I had was too heavy for me,” Wilder told Yahoo Sports. “I had no legs since the beginning of the fight. For the third round, my legs definitely ran out of legs (…). I tried my best. I knew I had no legs for my uniform, ”said Wilder, whose uniform weighed about 40 pounds and could not wear it until the night before the fight.

On the other hand, Wilder has told several media on American soil that he is considering removing Mark Breland from the team, the man who threw the towel in the seventh round, leaving aside Jay Deas, the head coach, as he had forbidden them make that decision even though many celebrate that they have stopped the fight there.

“I told my team that never, no matter what it looked like, they would never throw in the towel because I am a special class. I still had five rounds left. No matter what was going on, I was still in the fight, ”Wilder explained. “This is my life and my career, you have to accept my wishes,” he said.
