Jauns.lv has already reported that the actor passed away on October 26, at 9.00, the day before his 74th birthday. Nikolai Karachencov spent his last moments in his life at the Moscow City Oncology Hospital. Death occurred after the actor’s kidneys refused to work.

A year ago, Nikolai Karachencov was diagnosed with a malignancy in his lungs. Farewell to the legendary Russian actor will take place on October 29, at the Moscow Theater “Lenom”, the portal Meduza.io reports.

Nikolai Karachencov was one of the most famous Soviet and Russian theater and film actors, winner of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. From beginning to end, Nikolai spent his career at the Lenom Theater in Moscow, playing countless memorable roles in many popular productions. The actor also gained fame thanks to his roles in such films as “Dog on a haystack”, “Man from Capuchin Boulevard”, “White Dew”, “The Adventures of an Electronic Engineer”, “The Trust Who went bankrupt” and many others.

In February 2005, Nikolai Karachencov was involved in a serious car accident in Moscow, resulting in severe brain and skull injuries, which left the actor’s career.
