Although Martin Konečný made it all the way to the final in Survivor, he was unable to win the sympathy of the audience or the other contestants. He was referred to by many as a “buran” and he did not get rid of this label even after returning to the Czech Republic. Now he got a chance to turn the situation around during a live broadcast with Ondřej Novotný, but it didn’t happen. Martin almost didn’t let the moderator speak and ran off again when he talked about Johanek. “Haters say she saved my ass a few times, but it only happened once. I didn’t need her help,” Martin declared.
If the viewers of this past season of Survivor 2023 had the chance to vote on which of the contestants they liked the least, he would probably earn the most votes Martin Konečný, a forty-five-year-old technician from Slovakia. Paradoxically, he made it all the way to the final duel, in which he faced Tomáš Weimann, but for the entire duration of his participation, he did not win the sympathy of either the contestants themselves or the audience.
Martin came back from Survivor with the label “shithole,” which caused his inappropriate, vulgar and often lewd behavior. And not only that. His behavior towards Johanka also reduced his popularity. She saved his neck more than once in the competition, but he ended up sinking her pretty hard, as we they wrote.

Viewers certainly remember the moment when Johanka took pity on Martin because of his problems with hemorrhoids and gave him her hidden immunity, thanks to which he stayed in the game. However, he did not return the favor, which backfired on him. He subsequently sunk Johanka, while the likable blonde duly returned the betrayal during the finale. She dedicated her vote, which decided the absolute winner, to Tomáš.
This situation could not be resolved by Martin and subsequently by Johanka accused from literally ruining his life. Martin wanted to become a celebrity and never have to go to work again, which would certainly help him with a fabulous win. However, for this statement, Martin caught tremendous criticism.
Martin has no humility
And even though Martin was able to get out of the label of “buran” and the least popular player, he is still gaining ground.
