Why is everyone leaving WhatsApp and switching to Telegram?

Mark Zuckerberg’s messaging app recently announced major usage changes to the app.

Every day at least 1.5 million new users sign up for Telegram. Features such as folders, cloud storage and the desktop app make Telegram ideal for remote work and study during quarantine.

For a couple of weeks, users of the WhatsApp application have been notified of changes in the terms and conditions of use and privacy and of security policies from February 8.
