Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
On Tuesday (27/9) NASA’s DART probe successfully hit the asteroid Dimorphos. The DART mission is the first mission in human history to attempt to deflect a space object into outer space.
This collision is a fresh start for further research into Earth’s defenses against asteroids.
To investigate the impact of the collision, the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Hera mission will be launched in 2024, so the spacecraft along with two CubeSats should arrive at the asteroid Dimorphos two years later.
