Who will win the Eurovision final? Bookmakers make predictions

Many are reluctant to criticize individual compositions and performers, while others, on the contrary, actively support their favorites.

Which artist’s chances of winning the competition are highest rated by bookmakers? Betsafe considers the Dutch singer Duncan Laurence with the lyrical song “Arcade” to be a definite favorite, the probability that he will win the laurels with 63%. It should be noted that he is far ahead of his competitors in the bookmakers’ rating, as the second most plausible scenario is the victory of the Australian musician Kate Miller-Heidke’s song “Zero Gravity”, which is rated with a 14% probability.

Of course, we are also interested in the forecasts for our neighbors in the Eurovision final. Among Latvia’s neighbors, bookmakers value the chances of Russian singer Sergei Lazarev’s song “Scream” to win the laurels, giving such a scenario a 6% probability. Of the Baltic countries, only Estonia (Victor Crone, “Storm”) has entered the final, and bookmakers evaluate their chances of winning the competition with only a 0.4% probability. A similar chance of winning is estimated for Belarus (ZENA, “Like It”): 0.5%.

From the bookmakers’ point of view, the favorites also include representatives of Sweden (7% probability of victory) and Switzerland (6% probability of victory). Germany and San Marino have the lowest chances of climbing the Eurovision stage as bookmakers (0.3% each). Fiercer and more interesting competition is expected for the forecasts for the TOP 3, 5 and 10 places. Betsafe bookmakers also believe that the most interesting predictions are expected during the broadcast itself, as the predictions will also be offered in the online version until the vote begins.

The final of the 64th International Eurovision Song Contest in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv will take place on Saturday, May 18 at 22:00; it will be broadcast live by Latvian Television. 26 countries will take part in the final, but a total of 41 Member States are participating in the competition this year.
