One of those medicines with which it was thought to treat the virus is hydroxychloroquine. This promised be one of the best options when it comes to stopping the coronavirus.

Hydroxychloroquine began to viralize on social networks as miracle medicine. Which, supposedly, could defeat COVID-19 without any problem, the media went crazy. Not only did the media do it. the same Donald Trump began using it and announcing that he was already using it.
But despite its fame, few found out that the medicine was still in clinical trials and it seems that it is not a very good idea to be taking it religiously.
According to the World Health Organization, the drug has been suspended from all clinical trials since a study of the drug was published in The Lancet. This studio reveals that hydroxychloroquine could be related to serious health problems, as it could cause cardiac toxicity or cardiotoxicity.
Cardiac toxicity can be explained as damage to the heart caused by chemicals that are generally used to treat cancer. In fact, it is one of the most common side effects when treating any type of cancer.
This Cardiotoxicity can result in damage to the heart muscles, which are completely irreversible.
It is certainly a fairly serious problem that should be taken into account, not only with hydroxychloroquine, but with any medication. Well, self-medication is never a good idea.
