Identified as a close collaborator of former PAN senator Jorge Luis Lavalle for several years, Rafael Caraveo, who appears in a video released this Monday on social networks Receiving bundles of bills, he was technical secretary of the Administration Commission of the Senate of the Republic headed precisely by the folksy legislator in the last legislature.
On your Facebook account, Lavalle published on September 24, 2015 a message about the appointment of Caraveo, accompanied with a brief curricular profile.
“The Administration Committee approved the appointment of the technical secretary Rafael J. Caraveo Opengo. We trust their proven experience ”, he said.
Lavalle was one of the PAN negotiators for the energy reform and has allegedly been singled out by the former CEO of Pemex, Emilio Lozoya, as one of the National Action senators who would have received bribes in exchange for approving said project.
However, through his social networks, the former legislator for the state of Campeche described as “absolutely false” having received something in exchange for his vote and categorically rejected Lozoya’s accusations to him.
Caraveo is a public accountant from the Autonomous University of Campeche and a lawyer from the Inter-American University, in addition to having a postgraduate degree from the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
With “extensive experience” in the public and private sectors, the former official collaborated with Lavalle in the Secretariat of Social Development and was technical secretary of the Constitutional Points Commission in the 62nd Legislature of the Senate of the Republic.
