Various efforts have been made by both the central and local governments to prohibit people from going home for Eid 2021, including for State Civil Servants (ASN) or commonly known as PNS.
One of them is carried out by the City Government of Bandung. In order to prevent the civil servants from going home for Eid, the Bandung City Government will impose sanctions in the form of cutting allowances of 50 percent for civil servants who violate the rules on the prohibition of the Eid homecoming.
Wawan, Head of Apparatus Performance Appraisal and Appreciation Division for Bandung City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), said that ASN in Bandung is around 15,000 people. On May 6-17, 2021, leave is prohibited as a form of control by the Bandung City Government to ASN in the regulations on the prohibition of going home this year.
“Except for maternity leave and leave with important reasons. Because ASN must be an example of discipline for the community. It is already in PP 53/2010 concerning the disciplinary rules for Civil Servants,” he said in Bandung, Thursday (29/4/2021). .
“So the consequences are severe if they are determined to violate government policies, both central and regional. So, don’t take any loopholes, let alone check points for examination,” said Wawan.
According to Wawan, for ASN caught violating the rules on the ban on going home, there are sanctions that have been regulated. In the city of Bandung, there has been a circular letter from the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung.
“It has been distributed to all regional apparatuses. It only remains for each regional apparatus to monitor, supervise and control the ASN,” he said.
