Missouri baptist University Theater is holding auditions for its upcoming production of “White Christmas.” All roles are volunteer, with the role of General Henry Waverly already cast.
Aspiring performers are invited to sign up for an audition slot by emailing kasey.cox@mobap.edu. Auditions will take place on August 29th at 7:00 PM. Each audition should include 32 bars of a musical theatre song,chosen to reflect the style of “White Christmas” but not from the show itself. An accompanist will be provided, and auditionees are asked to bring clearly marked sheet music. Those who do not read music are encouraged to have a pianist review their music beforehand. lead sheets or full orchestrations are not permitted for the accompanist.
Callback auditions are scheduled for August 30th at 10:00 a.m. in the Missouri Baptist University Group Fitness Room. Callbacks will involve script readings, singing from the score, and a short dance audition.All necessary sides and music will be provided to auditionees prior to the callback, and songs will be rehearsed onc with auditionees before the audition begins. Participants are requested to bring character shoes and tap shoes, with heel taps preferred.
Missouri Baptist University Theatre operates as an educational theatre program.
