Which social network / messenger do you prefer to use? (Technology, smartphone)

Hallihallo 🙂

I’ll try to keep it short: it’s about Facebook and a – to me still unknown – function of the messenger. I sent a relatively important message and there is a blank circle with a tick next to the message. In another message that I have sent, however, a filled circle with a tick appears.

Of course I tried to make myself smart -> empty circle means sent, filled circle means delivered.

Okay so far so good. However, I am now wondering why this one contact could be causing the circle to be empty? (Just as a side info: – we are NOT friends on Facebook – the contact lives abroad, not EU, to be precise Turkey – I do not know whether she uses a laptop or mobile phone now, as my messages sent in Whatsapp only still ticked and she is also not online. I was not blocked. Maybe she has lost her cell phone or something similar – I sent the message in messenger, the contact also uses the messenger on the cell phone)

What can that be? Is the circle only displayed as filled in when the contact is logged into Facebook? Will the contact even get my message? What can I do?
