Which movie does TV and radio personality Egon Reiter recommend to watch this week?

Another superhero film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, joins the line-up of DC Comics heroes Batman and Superman. The main roles are played by actors Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. The thrill of watching the monster movie Godzilla tells the story of a soldier who, trying to return to his family, gets caught in the crossfire of a battle between Godzilla and two parasitic monsters known as MUTOs. Lots of special effects, mayhem and intriguing moments!

Also among the new movies this week is the disaster blockbuster “San Andreas,” which tells the story of a very powerful earthquake in California caused by the movement of geological plates along the San Andreas Fault Zone. As the scale of the disaster grows, Ray, an experienced rescue helicopter pilot, embarks on a dangerous mission to save his daughter. Starring actor Dwayne Johnson.

Extraordinary and otherworldly feelings can be experienced while watching the science fiction thriller “Gravity”, which tells the story of the close cooperation of two astronauts and the fight for their lives when they are left in space after an accident. With each breath, the heroes run out of oxygen, but their only chance to return home is to move further and further into the vastness of space. The main roles are played by actors Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

Fans of sci-fi movies will surely enjoy the highly rated film “Interstellar”, which tells the story of a team of explorers – realizing that the earth is becoming uninhabitable, they go into space in search of a new home for humanity. The film has achieved considerable success, highlighting its scientific accuracy, visually appealing graphics, while also being able to maintain a sense of reality.

On the other hand, in the mystery film “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”, you can follow the adventures of the detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson, who have joined forces to defeat their opponent, Professor Moriarty. This story is directed by the famous Guy Ritchie.

Looking at the new offerings at this week’s Major Film Festival, E. Reiter recommends watching Interstellar, highlighting the acting of actors Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, as well as the excellent music. Egon suggests watching the movie on a big screen, it’s best if you also have a projector screen at home, which makes the overall picture even more impressive.

“One of our movie-watching traditions is the big projection screen, which gives a completely different movie-watching experience, but for the last two years this has become less frequent, as the youngest son tends to have fun with the projector lens, enjoying the bright light. Therefore, you should wait until your son grows up, or you should think about placing the project on the ceiling,” laughs Egon.

In general, Egon’s favorite movie genre is thrillers, which appeal with unexpected surprises and turning points in the story. Egon also likes to watch classic action movies, but it won’t be his first choice. Egon is also very interested in autobiographical stories, getting to know different personalities and living their experiences. “You could say that I grew up with cinema, getting to know films of different genres and understanding what I really like and appeal to. When I was a child, a relative of ours lived near our country house, who owned a video rental, so watching movies was one of our favorite summer pastimes, when we could watch movies even for a week,” recalls Egon.

At good and touching films, Egon also tends to cry, when personal feelings connect with the film’s story and the work of art can be enjoyed in its entirety. Egon adds that the soundtrack is half the battle, because it is the choice of music that moves the most.
