For the second month of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, Europe has increased the volume of military, financial and humanitarian aid to Ukrainians. The total indicators of the countries and structures of the EU equaled in various indicators to aid from the United States, according to message Institute for the World Economy (IfW) in Kiel.

They calculated that the total assistance of the EU countries, the EU itself and the European Investment Bank reached the figure of 12.8 billion euros at the end of April.
“This was to be expected, given the geographical proximity to Ukraine,” explained indicators IfW director of research Christophe Trebesh.
In total, since the end of January, Washington has supported Ukraine in an amount equivalent to 10.3 billion euros.
At the end of April USA announced another $33 billion help (more must be a decision of Congress), and if this money is made available, the US investment will eclipse current European aid to Ukraine.
