The countdown to the 2022 edition of the MLB All-Star Game has already begun and the finalists and coaches are already known.
On the weekend of July 18-19, Major League Baseball stars will gather at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles for the Mid-Season Classic.
It will be the third time the All-Star Game has been played in Los Angeles and the third time at Dodger Stadium, which last hosted the event in 1980.
Next year’s event already has an assigned venue. MLB announced that in 2023 it will be played at the home of the Seattle Mariners, T-Mobile Park.
For the third time in franchise history the Mariners will host the competition weekend. The previous ones were in 1979 (Kingdome) and 2001 (Safeco Field).
Citizens Bank Park in the city of Philadelphia will host the 2026 All-Star Game, leaving the 2024, 2025 and 2027 editions to be assigned.
And a team with a lot of tradition is committed to getting him one of those appointments.
Boston Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy confirmed that they want to host the summer classic.
“We’re putting a lot of pressure on Major League Baseball,” Kennedy told Masslive.com in March of this year. “1999 was just an amazing night, so we’d love to have the All-Star Game back.”
