where are the first vaccination centers in Deux-Sèvres?

The vaccination campaign is gradually gaining momentum in Deux-Sèvres. From January 7 to 10, 166 residents of four nursing homes were vaccinated as well as around 200 health professionals.

Two vaccination centers are open:

  • A l’Niort hospital since Thursday January 7
  • To polyclinique Inkermann at Niort since Monday January 11

Four centers should open in the coming days:

  • At CHNDS, on the main site of Faye-l’Abbesse Wednesday 13 January
  • At Haut-Val-de-Sèvre and Mellois hospital group Wednesday January 13 with vaccinations that will run on the sites of Melle, Saint-Maixent-l’Ecole and La Mothe Saint-Héray
  • At Great Fire at Niort Monday, January 18
  • At CPAM Health Examination Center at Bessines this Thursday January 14

Appointments are necessary. Practical information is on the ARS Nouvelle-Aquitaine website.

Others could open in particular in the north of Deux-Sèvres where only one center is currently registered, that of the CHNDS, thanks to the work that is done with liberal health professionals. While vaccination must be extended to people over the age of 75 from Monday, January 18, elected officials are coming forward to make premises available.

Elected officials ready to make rooms available

“If we want to go quickly and if we want people to be able to move around easily, it is better that there are vaccination sites in Thouars, Parthenay, Bressuire”, estimates Catherine Landry, first deputy mayor of Thouars. “We are ready to work with the health center of Thouars to set up logistics”, indicates the chosen one.

In Chauray near Niort, the mayor Claude Boisson proposed the provision of the village hall. “Reflection is efficiency. So if we want to be efficient, I think we have to increase the number of places to prevent our fellow citizens from having to travel too much. Older people the less we move them, the better they are. ‘is”, considers the chosen one. “We asked the carers of the town and our doctors and nurses are willing to come if there was a need”, he continues.

Regarding vaccines, 4,875 doses must arrive at Niort hospital “normally this Tuesday. They left this Monday from Belgium for Niort”, indicates Laurent Flament, the director of the ARS.
