When will the coronavirus vaccine arrive in New York?

Governor Cuomo reiterated, for the second day in a row, that he does not trust the federal government’s ability to distribute a vaccine against Covid-19.

In a conference call to the media, Cuomo indicated that the federal government is not prepared to do so and believes that the same mistake that was made at the beginning of the pandemic with the tests and with the personal protective equipment, when leaving the responsibility in the hands of States.

The Governor mentioned that this time it is worse because the States have fewer financial resources.

Meanwhile President Trump noted on Twitter that his administration has produced a safe vaccine.

He indicated that the problem is Governor Cuomo to delay its use, while other states want it now.

He added that the vaccine can only be supplied to states that will use it immediately and therefore the delay is New York.

The President announced Friday that a vaccine could be ready by the end of the year and available to the general population in April.

The governor recalled that he has established an independent panel to study the vaccine once it receives approval from the Food and Drug Administration, and that this will help increase public confidence.
