When, where and how will the Montluçonnais be able to recover their cloth mask promised by the Department?

He will finally point the tip of his nose. The washable fabric mask promised to each Montluçonnais by the Department will be distributed on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 May, in the city on the banks of the Cher. We explain to you how it will happen…

Where to get your mask?

Two possibilities. If you are registered on the electoral lists, you will have a place to collect your mask according to your usual polling station.

For people who are not registered on the electoral lists, a single place of withdrawal will be set up, namely the administrative city of Montluçon.

Here is the list of places:

  • Robert-lebourg room (19, rue de la Presle): Town hall (polling station 1). École Paul-Fort (office 3). Balzac School (office 6).
  • Saint Vincent Hall (4, quai Turgot): Jules-Ferry School (office 2). Paul-Lafargue Schools 1 and 2 (offices 13 and 15).

  • Well-Seated Gymnasium (1, rue des Merles): Jacques-Prévert School (office 21), Yannick-Paul School (office 26).

How were the locations chosen?

The idea of distributing the masks in the mailboxes was quickly put aside, said the mayor, Frédéric Laporte. “Because it is impossible to know if a dwelling is occupied or how many people it shelters”.

And to continue: “We chose to choose places that are well distributed in the different districts, large enough to guarantee the flow of people and who have not welcomed anyone for two months. On the ground, a marking on the ground will be provided and gel will be available to people even if they will have nothing else to touch, in principle, than their mask (s) “.

A distribution by age class

Two common dates have been determined for all distribution locations: Tuesday May 19 and Wednesday May 20. However, the distributions will be organized by half-day according to the age of the inhabitants.

  • People over 70 can remove their mask on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 50-70 year olds, Tuesday from 1 to 7 p.m.
  • 30-49 year olds, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • 11-29 year olds, Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m.

No distribution is planned for children under 11 because schoolchildren aged 6 to 10 (from CP to CM2) already received a mask distributed in schools on May 7. The city invites those who have not recovered it to approach their child’s school.

How to recover your mask?

First imperative: have your main residence in Montluçon. To remove your mask (s), you must have:

  • identity cards of all adults in the household and the family book (passports and driving licenses accepted).
  • Warning?! Only one person per household must be present with all identity cards.
  • People who are not registered on the electoral roll will have to go to the administrative city, provided with an identity document and proof of address.

What if you can’t get around?

You can have your mask collected by a family member or friend with your identity card at your distribution location. For all other requests, contact the toll-free number set up by the city: 0801.902.409.
