When to see Comet Neowise?

A comet at a glance

Comet C / 2020 F, renamed Neowise, was discovered in March 2020 and it will be visible during the month of July. Early birds don’t need a telescope, just look at the sky as long as there is no light pollution – too much light from artificial lighting – that prevents us from sighting.

What is the best time to see it?

The comet can be seen from 4:30 in the morning, just before dawn, in the northern hemisphere. To see it the best thing is to get away from the artificial light bulbs so the best thing is to go to the field or the mountain.

How long will it be visible?

Comet Neowise will remain visible until July 15. At the end of the month it can be seen all over the world and after dark. It is the third comet discovered this year and the brightest of the last seven found.
