Wien. Mask requirement, free testing, distance rules, mandatory vaccination – what is legal, what is not? Questions that lawyers are currently asking in abundance. “Citizens are insecure and cannot find their way around the jungle of regulations that arose with the coronavirus,” says lawyer Michael Brunner. To change that, he founded the “Lawyers for Fundamental Rights – Lawyers for Enlightenment” in October, an initiative that has grown from seven to 23 members in just a few weeks. Their goal: “To restore the rule of law as far as possible”, because: “Since the spring, the government has been exercising to curtail basic and civil rights.”
